Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Journeyman Configuration/Data Manager position supporting the Strike Systems Branch.   The AC-130J Gunship Program is a USSOCOM ACAT II program to modify MC-130J aircraft supporting dedicated SOF missions with close air support and air interdiction. The primary role of the program is integration of the Precision Strike Package (PSP) on MC-130J’s producing the AC-130J. PSP is a proven capability composed of Government Furnished Equipment with major components including weapons, sensors and fire control equipment. The physical integration of PSP onto the AC-130J is performed by a combined Government and contractor team. Program management authority resides with USSOCOM (PEO Fixed Wing) and is supported by six Combat Acquisition Detachments (CADs). The Strike Systems Branch is one of these CADs and is responsible for the integration of PSP capabilities onto the platform.

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Scientist II supporting the Department of Diarrheal Disease Research (DDR) Support Services at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research.  In support of the Surgeon General’s responsibility to conduct research and development for the production of countermeasures against Diarrheal Disease pathogens that have the goal of improving readiness, combat effectiveness, and soldier health, the DDR was established in response to Military Infectious Disease Research Program (MIDRIP) and is in part carried out in the Bacterial Diseases Branch (BDB) at the WRAIR.    The BDB conducts the necessary studies from basic laboratory research to clinical trials in human volunteers. Within the BDB the specific mission is to develop countermeasures for Shigella and enterotoxigenic E. coli, both of which are significant causes of diarrheal disease in deployed American troops.  As licensed countermeasures for shigellosis and enterotoxigenic E. coli (ETEC) are not available it is necessary to conduct basic and applied research to develop new countermeasures.  Sources of potential countermeasures are either intramural programs or extramural programs.
