Odyssey is currently recruiting for a Systems Engineer to support the United States Space Force, Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division (ECQ) COBRA DANE (CD) Systems Program Office. CD is a ground-based, computer-driven L-band phased-array radar located at Eareckson AS, AK with two primary missions: Missile Defense and Space Domain Awareness. CD provides the first line of defense against homeland missile threats and provides early observations of foreign launches giving decision makers critical battlespace situational awareness. Furthermore, CD is the most accurate Phased Array radar in network tracking approximately 6,000 unique objects daily, including 750 “CD-only objects.” The CD Program Office is currently managing multiple modernization projects throughout the system including High-powered Electronics systems, IT systems, and Mission Support subsystems.
The CD Radar Division is a small team responsible for all aspects of operations, maintenance, and sustainment of the COBRA DANE Radar located on Shemya Island, AK. The team is responsible for managing over $360M through the next four years to support continuing operations of the system. The COBRA DANE Systems Engineer will provide critical technical support to various Government Integrated Product Teams supporting select system modernization efforts.
