Position Summary

The Senior Network Security Engineer leads the design, implementation, and governance of secure enterprise network infrastructures across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. This role ensures the protection of corporate assets and, where applicable, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), by aligning systems to cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks such as NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2.

 

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to: 

  • Architect, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructures aligned with enterprise and CMMC Level 2 requirements.
  • Design and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, micro segmentation, and encryption controls.
  • Re-architect network infrastructure for scalability and growth.
  • Ensure proper VLAN segmentation and zero-trust alignment.
  • Perform daily monitoring of network health and detect zero-day exploits.
  • Monitor network traffic, identify threats, and lead incident response.
  • Develop and enforce security standards aligned with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC.
  • Support secure cloud connectivity and hybrid architectures.
  • Lead upgrades, design Wi-Fi architectures, and support office buildouts.
  • Evaluate new technologies and lead implementation efforts
  • Occassional travel to offices across the US for project related work.

 

 

Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: ability to obtain

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Years of Experience: 10+

Certifications: Any relevant enterprise network and firewall technologies

 

Preferred Qualifications

Clearance: Secret

Education: Bachelor's

Years of experience: 10+

Certifications: CCNP, GIAC, CEH, or CMMC

 

Technical Skills
