Position Summary

Odyssey is recruiting for a CPSS PP&C (Consolidated Program Support Services Program, Planning, & Control) SME2 to support NASA’s Human Landing System (HLS) Program Office. Help make history and be part of a program providing the launch capability essential for reaching the lunar vicinity and advancing sustained human exploration of deep space!

 

NASA’s Space Launch System Program at Marshall Space Flight Center is responsible for developing and certifying the super heavy‑lift rocket that enables crewed deep‑space missions as part of Artemis. The SLS Program Office oversees vehicle design, manufacturing, testing, and performance verification to ensure safe delivery of Orion, astronauts, and cargo beyond Earth orbit. Key mission areas include integration with Exploration Ground Systems and the Orion Program, coordination with the Moon to Mars Program Office, and support for upcoming Artemis missions such as Artemis II, III, and IV.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to: 

  • Plan and lead major technology assignments.
  • Evaluate performance results and recommend major changes affecting short -term project growth and success.
  • Function as technical expert across multiple project assignments.
  • Support strategic program and project reviews and special studies.
  • Provide input and recommendations for alternatives or “make-or-buy” analysis and planning.
  • Provide input and recommendations for the development and execution of the business plan process, business plan, and strategic plans.
  • Provide input and recommendations for conferences, meetings, and program and project reviews.
  • Develop handbooks and training courses.
  • Provide affordability analysis and planning recommendations.
  • Provide input, advice, and recommendations to Independent Review Teams.
  • Review project documentation, technical reports, requirements documents, and memoranda to support decision-making.
  • Support program reviews and provide independent assessments.
  • Provide management analysis of program and project execution.
  • Provide scenario planning.
  • Serve as an advisory member of program or project Standing Review Boards (SRB), as applicable in the SRB Handbook.
  • Provide mentoring to program and project managers, Center and organizational management, and technical and scientific personnel as required.
  • Provide specialized skills and experiences related to ongoing programmatic activities in order to measure program progress toward prescribed goals as required by any NASA Center.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen.

Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.

Education: BA/BS degree.

Years of Experience: 20 years of directly related experience, possessing and applying comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Clearance: Current DoD Secret or TS Clearance 

 

Additional Information

Location: On-site at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), Huntsville, AL

Travel: Travel may be required at the Customer’s request. 

Onsite: Telework capabilities for local candidates (percentage of telework allowed will vary based on the Customer's discretion)

Please note: Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
