As part of Odyssey’s team of Growth professionals, the Business Development Manager (BDM), Dept of Army will successfully identify, qualify, shape and maintain a funnel of new business opportunities, and lead growth initiatives for the organization. This is a new market for Odyssey, and as such requires an enthusiastic self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset who is hungry to help create and build a portfolio from scratch. Success in this position requires a proactive approach and a deep understanding of the Dept of Army market. BD Team members serve as the relationship holders with Army customers and will be the conduit between Army clients and the remainder of the Odyssey growth team, helping convey important client perspectives across our organization and communicating our value to current and potential customers. Working closely with the Senior Business Development Manager – Army and five operational business group Executive Directors (Aviation, C2ISR, CCN2, Space and Missile Defense, Life Sciences), this BDM reports directly to the Senior BDM – Army and aligned under the Executive Director for BD and Capture. This is a full-time hybrid role ideally based out of a Army Acquisition concentration area (priority is Aberdeen, MD) or an Odyssey corporate office.

Duties include, but not limited to:
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Clearance: Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or Technical Discipline, or relevant military, government or business experience.
Years of Experience: 3-5 years Business Development or Capture experience in DoD services companies, preferably supporting Dept of Army customers and markets.
Preferred Qualifications:
Clearance: Active Top Secret
Education: Master's Degree in a business field.
Certifications: Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) or Shipley certification.
Experience: 10+ years of Military or federal civil service experience strongly preferred.

Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
