Odyssey is recruiting for a Systems Engineer to join the team. The technical expert filling this position will be an engineering trusted advisor and consultant to the government that supports government-led on-going and future sustainment, modification, and capability upgrade efforts across the NCMC-ITW/AA and Legacy Space C2 enterprises.
A key focus for this position is to define executable-level requirements, develop, review and design technical solutions and Technical Baseline documents/ manuals that satisfy them; assess existing systems and their existing requirements and designs; identify system problems, review and validate provided solutions to address them identified problem(s); design and oversee the implementation of system upgrades; develop a road-map for the incremental implementation of capabilities to achieve the customer’s near-term and future goals to ensure the enterprise is expandable to meet future requirements and threats. This position will support multiple projects and programs within NCMC-ITW/AA and Legacy Space sustainment and the execution of existing programs and projects. The position will support external network communication designs and requirements that NCMC-ITW/AA and Legacy Space are required to support and or ingest/pass into the system. Odyssey personnel may be assigned the roles of Product Owner and Product Line Manager for an Agile Release Team (ART) and/or System Delivery Team within the program office.
Program: The NCMC-ITW/AA Branch sustains unique ITW/AA Cheyenne Mountain systems, networks, and associated components through an enterprise-wide set of integrated mission capabilities, support services, and data products that provide military authorities with an accurate, timely, unambiguous and continuous warning and attack assessment of air, missile and space threats. The Legacy Space C2 Branch sustains unique space command & control systems, networks, and associated components through an enterprise-wide set of integrated mission capabilities, support services, and data products that provide space situational awareness, object tracking, and deconfliction.
This is a full-time position at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, CO with telework flexibility for local candidates – subject to change per the customer’s discretion.

Minimum Requirements:
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
Clearance: Must have an active DoD Secret clearance, eligible for TS/SCI and be able to maintain it
Education: High School Diploma
Years of Experience: 15 years’ directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the functionally aligned job description, 8 of which must be in the DoD; OR,

Hybrid, Remote or On-site: Telework capabilities for local candidates (percentage of telework allowed will vary based on the customer's discretion). Currently it is approx. 2 days remote with the remainder onsite.
Travel: Travel may be required to CONUS and OCONUS locations (approx. 10-20%)

Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
