Position Summary

Odyssey Systems is seeking a Senior Acquisition Program Engineer – Systems to support the AFLCMC/EBU AMRAAM Production and Sustainment Program at Warner Robins AFB, GA. The selected candidate will apply advanced weapon systems engineering expertise to support production, sustainment, and lifecycle management activities in compliance with Air Force and DoD acquisition processes.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to: 

  • Provide systems engineering support across production and sustainment phases.

  • Manage and sustain the program technical baseline; support system-level reviews and tests.

  • Analyze engineering data and evaluate weapon system performance.

  • Conduct and support engineering trade studies considering performance, cost, risk, and schedule.

  • Support requirements development, validation, and configuration management.

  • Provide technical input to acquisition documentation, reviews, and IPTs.

  • Support risk management activities in alignment with AF SEAM processes.

  • Utilize requirements management tools such as DOORS.

Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain an active Secret Clearance

Education: Bachelor’s degree in related discipline + 20 years relevant experience 

 

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree + 15 years of relevant experience OR

    • PHD in related discipline + 5 years relevant experience 
  • Experience supporting Air Force or DoD weapon system acquisition programs

  • Experience supporting ACAT I or ACAT II programs

Technical Skills

  • Weapon systems and systems engineering

  • Requirements and configuration management

  • Trade studies and technical assessments

  • Verification and validation

  • Risk management (AF SEAM)

Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Clear technical writing and briefing ability

  • Effective collaboration within IPT environments

Location: Warner Robins AFB, GA

Travel: May be required at the customer’s discretion
