Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Principal Communications Operator/Technician supporting a high priority acquisition mission within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s C3I and Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HNI).
The C3I and Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HNI) focuses on providing enterprise support to over 110 active Air Force, Air National Guard (ANG), and Air Force Reserve installations and bases. The office also provides technical and policy support and provides C3I infrastructure for the USAF enterprise applications.
This is a full time position located at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA.
In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.
Duties include but not limited to:
Advise and support activities involving installation, maintenance, repair, overhaul, deployment, and modification of cyberspace systems and equipment.
Ensure communication and cyber systems (voice, data, video, radio, satellite, microwave, cryptographic) meet installation practices, technical orders, and accepted commercial standards.
Apply Communications Security (COMSEC) expertise, including physical, cryptographic, transmission, and emission security.
Support and ensure compliance with Air Force and DoD safety standards and instructions.
Provide advisory support for system architecture, configuration, and integration to maintain conformity across platforms.
Serve as a technical advisor for facility design, platform IT installations, and minor construction projects.
Coordinate with base communication systems and stakeholders to support mission requirements.
Review and validate project packages, amendments, and integration plans for communication systems.
Conduct site and equipment surveys; validate system interfaces and readiness.
Evaluate operational readiness of communications equipment, network devices, and intrusion detection systems.
Troubleshoot and repair standard voice, data, and video infrastructure, IP detection systems, and cryptographic equipment.
Maintain, test, and repair voice and network systems using specialized tools and test equipment.
Sustain, troubleshoot, and repair RF wireless, LOS/BLOS, wideband, satellite, and encryption transmission systems.
Establish and refine cyber tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
Review and implement changes to Communications-Computer Systems Installation Records (CSIRs) and technical documentation.
Update and verify cyber system, facility, maintenance, and inspection records.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret Level Clearance
Education: BA/BS Degree in related technical field
Years of Experience: 10+ years of experience
Strong background in electronic and network principles, information assurance, telephony, and copper/fiber transmission systems.
Experience in cryptographic techniques, network system installation, and test equipment operation.
Demonstrated knowledge of electricity and radio theory, transistors, solid-state components, and digital techniques.
Ability to interpret technical orders, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings.
Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing communications systems in both fixed and deployed environments.
