Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Security Engineer supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC/HN) under the HNJ Division at Hanscom AFB. The HN Directorate’s mission is “Connecting Warfighters With Affordable, Secure & War-Winning Cyber, C3I & Network Systems”, delivering enterprise and tactical-level C3I connectivity, infrastructure, and cyber capabilities across Joint, Coalition, Air Force, and Allied environments.
This role provides System Security Engineering support for program protection, cybersecurity, risk mitigation, and compliance efforts across HN portfolios.
In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.
Duties include, but not limited to:
The Senior Systems Security Engineer will support review, analysis, and implementation of the following in compliance with Air Force SEAM processes and applicable DoD standards:
Program Protection Plans (PPP)
Anti-Tamper (AT) Plans
Cybersecurity Plans
Testing and/or Operation Authorization documentation
System Security Authorization Agreements
System Security Plans
System Threat Assessments
Additional responsibilities include:
Identifying and analyzing risks and vulnerabilities, including OPSEC and INFOSEC considerations.
Advising on cybersecurity strategies based on system requirements and operating environments.
Proposing risk mitigation approaches to protect information from unauthorized access.
Supporting compliance with DoD cybersecurity and risk management frameworks, including RMF and related guidance.
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Minimum Required Qualifications
Clearance: Must have and maintain a Top Secret Clearance with SCI and SAP Eligibility
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a professional engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program with 12 years of directly related experience (5 years in DoD) OR,
Experience identifying risks and issues, including OPSEC and INFOSEC
Proficiency advising on cybersecurity strategies and risk mitigations for complex systems
Strong analytical and documentation review skills in program security environments
Preferred Qualifications
Clearance: TS/SCI
Education: Master’s degree with at least 10 years of directly related experience (5 years in DoD)
Familiarity with DoD acquisition, cybersecurity frameworks, and Air Force security processes
Knowledge of emerging threats, countermeasure development, and system certification requirements
