Position Summary

Odyssey Systems is seeking a Senior Network Services Professional to support a high-priority acquisition mission within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s C3I and Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HNI). AFLCMC/HNI provides enterprise support to over 110 active Air Force, Air National Guard (ANG), and Air Force Reserve installations and bases. The division delivers technical and policy support while providing C3I infrastructure for USAF enterprise applications.

 

This full-time position, located at Hanscom AFB in Bedford, MA, will support tasks involving the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and/or management of networked systems supporting the transmission of voice, data, and video information.

 

Responsibilities

In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.

 

Duties include, but not limited to: 

  • Analyze and recommend network requirements to ensure optimal system performance and scalability.

  • Design, recommend, and maintain network architecture and infrastructure to support mission-critical systems.

  • Monitor network capacity, performance, and security posture to maintain system reliability and resilience.

  • Diagnose and resolve complex network issues and performance bottlenecks.

  • Recommend and implement network backup, recovery, and continuity-of-operations procedures.

  • Install, test, maintain, and upgrade network operating systems software and firmware.

  • Ensure the application of cybersecurity policies, principles, and best practices in the delivery and management of network services.

 

Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret Level Clearance

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline

Years of Experience: 10+ years of experience, with at least 5 years supporting the Department of Defense (DoD)

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline

  • Network architecture and infrastructure design

  • Network performance analysis and optimization

  • Network security and compliance (DoD/AF cybersecurity policies)

  • Backup, recovery, and continuity planning

  • Installation, maintenance, and upgrade of network operating systems
