Odyssey Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support a high-priority acquisition mission within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s C3I & Networks Directorate, HBA Division, located at Hanscom AFB. The HNA Division provides enterprise-level solutions and systems that ensure secure, reliable communications and cyber-resilient infrastructure across the Air Force and DoD. In this role, you will support full lifecycle systems engineering activities across acquisition, integration, test, deployment, and sustainment phases, helping the government manage technical baselines and deliver mission-critical capabilities to the warfighter.
In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Perform in-depth systems engineering assessments across the HNA program portfolio to evaluate performance, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
Support development and management of program technical baselines and ensure alignment with program requirements and objectives.
Conduct design reviews and provide analysis of system/subsystem design and test results to validate performance against specifications.
Create and deliver technical documentation, specifications, presentations, and planning reports to support program decision-making.
Provide validation and verification expertise by establishing evaluation criteria, developing procedures, and analyzing system performance data.
Deliver systems engineering and technical support for acquisition, integration, installation, fielding, and lifecycle sustainment activities.
Participate in program and project risk management tasks in accordance with Air Force SEAM (Systems Engineering Assessment Model) guidance.
Execute trade space analyses, gap assessments, MODA (Multi-Objective Decision Analysis), and cost vs. capability evaluations to support requirements development and program execution.
Implement Digital Engineering, Digital Thread, and Digital Twin strategies in support of agile, model-based lifecycle management.
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Minimum Required Qualifications
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
Education: BA/BS and 15 years of experience in systems engineering (minimum 5 years in DoD), OR
Preferred Qualifications
Clearance:
Education: Advanced degree in Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field
Years of Experience: 12+ years supporting DoD acquisition programs
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of the full systems engineering lifecycle
Experience implementing Digital Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Familiarity with AFLCMC acquisition policies and DoDI 5000.02
Experience supporting DoD IT/cyber or communications infrastructure programs
Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and requirements management platforms (e.g., DOORS, Cameo)

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Proven ability to translate complex technical details for non-technical stakeholders
