Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support high-visibility DoD cyber operations and acquisition programs. The ideal candidate will bring proven USCYBERCOM experience, a deep understanding of JCC2 programs and applications, and familiarity with joint military operations, planning, and execution cycles. You will interface with technical teams, operational planners, and leadership to support system integration, performance analysis, and mission readiness efforts.
In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level systems engineering support to Department of Defense (DoD) cyber programs by assisting government leadership with technical planning, integration, and execution across critical mission systems. You will apply your in-depth knowledge of joint cyber operations, communications infrastructure, and mission readiness applications to enhance warfighter capabilities and decision-making.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Apply prior USCYBERCOM experience to advise and support DoD stakeholders in system integration, capability assessments, and mission planning
Provide systems engineering support for Joint Cyber Command and Control (JCC2) capabilities, including Joint Cyber Operations tools, Readiness Applications, MADSS, and Threat Awareness/Sharing platforms
Conduct requirements analysis, architecture development, and system integration planning across cyber and C2 systems
Develop and deliver clear, concise, and professionally written products such as technical reports, issue papers, executive summaries, briefings, and talking points
Participate in operational planning processes, providing technical insight across planning, approval, and execution phases
Assess and advise on performance of networks and communications technologies including satellite, wireless, fiber, and enterprise networks
Coordinate with military operators, cyber analysts, engineers, and leadership to ensure alignment of systems with operational mission requirements
Analyze complex systems, identify risk areas, and recommend technical solutions aligned with mission objectives
Operate effectively under pressure in dynamic, fast-paced environments while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Clearance: Top Secret
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
Years of Experience: 15 years of directly related experience, including 5 years supporting DoD programs
Clearance: Top Secret / SCI
Education: Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or relevant discipline
Years of Experience: 8–12 years supporting DoD acquisition programs
Direct USCYBERCOM experience supporting mission systems, tools, or operational planning
Experience with JCC2 programs and related applications (Joint Cyber Operations, Threat Awareness, MADSS, Readiness Applications, etc.)
Technical Skills
Expertise in JCC2 mission systems, tools, and architectures
Knowledge of computer networking principles, terminology, and infrastructure
Familiarity with enterprise and tactical communications platforms (e.g., satellite, wireless, fiber)
Systems integration, testing, and interoperability planning
Familiarity with cyber readiness and threat awareness platforms
Understanding of DoD acquisition lifecycle and cybersecurity principles
Interpersonal Skills
Strong written and verbal communication with ability to brief senior leadership
Demonstrated ability to develop high-quality technical and decision-support documentation
Critical thinking and adaptability in high-tempo, deadline-driven environments
Proven collaboration with cross-functional government, industry, and operational teams
Self-starter with strong multitasking and prioritization abilities
