Position Summary

Odyssey is seeking a Chief Engineer to provide advisory & assistance services (A&AS) to support a major defense program, focusing on Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition life cycle planning and Space Force systems. The ideal Chief Engineer for Golden Dome would have extensive experience leading the design, development, and integration of complex, multi-domain space systems—particularly within the national security space enterprise. They must be skilled in enterprise architecture, mission engineering, and technical risk management, with a proven ability to align system design with operational needs in contested and resilient space environments.

The Space Systems Command (SSC) Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SDACP) (SSC/SZ), Battle Management, Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) (SSC/BC) provides highly classified Space Domain Awareness (SDA) systems, Defensive and Offensive Space Control (DSC/OSC) capabilities, and space test range assets to meet current and projected DoD operational requirements. SSC/SZ-BC develops, integrates, tests, deploys, sustains, and supports operations for systems that meet strategic and tactical operational needs. This mission area requires personnel with experience and an in-depth understanding of the environments that include ground, near-space, space, and any system that operates in those environments.

Why Golden Dome?

Unparalleled Impact: Play a leading role in protecting millions of Americans and reinforcing global deterrence.

Cutting-Edge Technology: Engage in frontier systems—space interceptors, hypersonic sensors, AI-driven C2, and next-gen radars.

High‑Profile Leadership: Work under Gen. Michael Guetlein and Secretary Hegseth.

Cross‑Sector Collaboration: Join a diverse team from across defense, commercial tech, and space sectors to tackle the hardest engineering, strategic, and operational challenges ever attempted.

If you're driven to protect the nation, push technological boundaries, and collaborate with top-tier talent across aerospace and defense, Golden Dome is where your legacy begins.
