Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Training Manager to support the C3I&N Directorate at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. The selected candidate will assist in the evaluation, coordination, and delivery of operational and maintenance training solutions, including computer-based and simulator-based instruction systems. This position supports the ongoing development of program-specific training handbooks, policies, and instructional content necessary for DoD acquisition and sustainment programs.

Responsibilities

In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.

 

Duties include, but not limited to: 

  • Assist with evaluating and recommending improvements to system training, training equipment, simulator requirements, and associated technical documentation.

  • Support the planning and execution of training needed to conduct system tests and operational validation.

  • Assist with the delivery of both operational and maintenance training.

  • Contribute to the development of handbooks, training courses, and web-based/computer-based training materials.

  • Support the implementation and execution of policies, procedures, and best practices via working groups, IPTs, assessments, and tailored training.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of instructional materials.

  • Monitor training effectiveness and gather feedback for continual improvement.

Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Must have an active Secret Clearance

Education: Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, OR

  • 8 years of directly related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Clearance: Top Secret 

Education: Bachelor's Degree

 

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with DoD training standards and courseware development processes

  • Experience supporting web-based or computer-based training delivery platforms

  • Basic understanding of simulator or virtual training system implementation

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple training efforts concurrently

  • Collaborative mindset and experience working with multidisciplinary teams
