Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for an Equipment Specialist SME to support the Training Division (AFLCMC/WNR) at Hill AFB in Ogden, Utah. WNR serves as the Air Force’s premier technical, acquisition, and sustainment authority, delivering specialized and comprehensive support to the warfighter. The Training Division manages a diverse portfolio of mission-critical USAF systems, including Electronic Warfare, Range Systems, Range Instrumentation, Air Combat Training and Aircrew Readiness, Command and Control Systems, Advanced Radar Threat Systems, Combat Survivor Evader Locator, P5 Combat Training Systems, Black Switch, and Legacy Voice Systems.
WNR also supports depot-level sustainment and maintenance efforts, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and joint initiatives with the U.S. Army, Navy, Pacific Air Forces, Air Combat Command (ACC), Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), and Air Education and Training Command (AETC).
In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Provide Equipment Specialist and Configuration Management (CM) support using best commercial logistics practices and DoD concepts such as PBL, public-private partnering, and supply chain management.
Perform CM tasks, including drawing package maintenance, TCTO preparation, configuration control, and technical order validation/verification.
Support execution of Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and Technical Review Boards (TRBs).
Maintain Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) inventory lists and conduct physical inventory as needed.
Provide integrated logistics support: provisioning, maintenance data, quality deficiency analysis, and diminishing manufacturing source identification.
Evaluate Air Force maintenance directives for compliance and recommend system/process improvements.
Support digital TO transition efforts and catalog/track TOs with TOMA.
Conduct logistics analyses, such as supportability analysis, repair capability assessments, and Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB) validation.
Utilize government systems (e.g., Blazer, IMDS, CCMS) to access data and support OSS&E reporting and documentation.
Support audit efforts, PCAs/FCAs, action item tracking, and CM documentation development.
Interface with IPTs to provide research and technical input on maintenance/equipment management.
Monitor and manage modification parts listings, NSNs, and DLA provisioning records.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Clearance: Must hold an active Secret clearance
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 25 years of experience, including 15 years in the DoD, OR
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field with at least 20 years of experience, including 12 years in the DoD
Technical Skills
Configuration Management principles (ECPs, DRs, AFTO 22s, AFTO 252s, etc.)
Familiarity with range systems, radar, and electronic subsystems
Use of logistics systems and databases (e.g., Blazer, IMDS, DLA tools, CCMS)
Technical Order systems and lifecycle management
CM documentation and audit preparation (PCAs, FCAs)
Technical writing and document control
Supply chain and provisioning systems (e.g., NSN, CAGE code management)
Maintenance management systems and repair analysis
Interpersonal Skills
Ability to collaborate with engineers, logistics personnel, and acquisition teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
Comfortable supporting meetings, technical boards, and cross-functional teams
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Skilled in facilitating process improvements and documenting technical guidance
