Odyssey Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the engineering, integration, sustainment, and modernization efforts for a DoD acquisition program at Hanscom AFB. The selected candidate will contribute across the program lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, and validation of system-level solutions. You will provide subject matter expertise in systems engineering, digital engineering, and risk management in compliance with Air Force SEAM processes.
In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Evaluate and recommend improvements for systems engineering programs and technical baselines.
Conduct technical reviews of program portfolios to assess alternative plans and test results, ensuring system/subsystem performance meets specifications.
Develop and maintain system-level test strategies, validation criteria, and performance assessments.
Prepare detailed technical documentation and system specifications; deliver technical presentations and reports.
Provide full-spectrum systems engineering support across acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, deployment, and operations.
Support program risk management activities and develop engineering solutions that align with evolving mission requirements.
Apply advanced systems engineering techniques, including problem/gap analysis, trade space studies, MODA, and cost-benefit trade-offs.
Implement Digital Engineering strategies, including Digital Thread and Digital Twin approaches, across the system lifecycle.
Interface with program offices and support staff, providing both technical leadership and collaborative engagement.
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Minimum Required Qualifications
Clearance: Active Secret clearance
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field
Years of Experience: 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in the DoD
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field
Years of experience: 15 years of directly related experience, including 5 years supporting DoD programs
