Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Acquisition Program Management SME to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s C3I and Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HBI). The selected candidate will apply broad expertise in acquisition management, modernization planning, and DoD program execution to drive enterprise-level decision-making and system-of-systems integration across the division.
This is a full-time, onsite position located at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA.
In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Investigate, analyze, and evaluate program plans, acquisition strategies, and performance data to support critical program decisions.
Provide expert-level guidance and resolution for programmatic issues impacting cost, schedule, or performance.
Support acquisition management and modernization planning efforts with a strategic and enterprise-level focus.
Apply expert knowledge of DoD program management processes, including budget/finance methodologies and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.
Review and evaluate initial and revised acquisition documentation (e.g., acquisition strategies, plans, and reports) to ensure alignment with enterprise-level goals and integration across related systems.
Deliver feedback that improves the quality, consistency, and accuracy of acquisition documentation from a system-of-systems perspective.
Coordinate across program offices and with external stakeholders to ensure alignment of acquisition activities within a broader enterprise architecture.
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Minimum Required Qualifications
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret clearance
Education: Master’s degree
Years of Experience: 15 years of general professional experience, including 10 years in acquisition program management
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: DAWIA Level III in Program Management or PMP
Technical Skills
Expert knowledge of DoD acquisition lifecycle and program management processes
Strong understanding of PPBE, JCIDS, and related documentation
Ability to evaluate and improve acquisition documentation from a system-of-systems and enterprise perspective
Familiarity with Air Force Life Cycle Management processes and systems
Interpersonal Skills
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-support capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable briefing and advising senior leaders across functional domains
Skilled at coordinating across program offices and integrating feedback
