Odyssey Systems is currently seeking a Professional Acquisition Program Engineer to join our team at Eglin AFB, Florida. This role requires experience in electrical/electronic system analysis, and support for complex defense systems.
In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Conduct simulation studies including system/component performance, engineering trade-offs, system effectiveness, and logistics.
Review modeling work for regulatory and best practice compliance.
Develop and maintain modeling standards and best practices.
Analyze complex problems and develop models and constraints to support dynamic structural, thermal, or other analyses.
Review and develop models to address complex weapon system challenges.
Electrical/Electronic Design:
Design, develop, and test electro-technology systems across analog/digital circuits, signal processing, EMI/EMC, power supply, and RF components.
Evaluate microcircuits including FPGAs, microprocessors, memory circuits, and radiation-hardened components.
Perform multispectral analysis of C4I systems and flight control system evaluations.
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Minimum Required Qualifications
Clearance: Must have an Active Secret Clearance
Education: Undergraduate degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
Years of Experience: 5 years of relevant professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Master's degree with 3 years of relevant professional experience
Technical Skills
Electrical/electronic systems design and analysis
EMI/EMC assessment and signal processing
Experience with FPGAs, microprocessors, and RF systems
Thermal and structural modeling capabilities
Interpersonal Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Clear, concise communication—both written and verbal
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to present complex technical material to leadership
