Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Program Manager providing support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PEO Electronic Systems Directorate (AFLCMC/HB). The Air Force Program Execution Office for PEO Electronic Systems (AFPEO/HB) has the collective Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility to manage and execute the modernization, development, testing, production, fielding, and sustainment of the PEO Command And Control portfolio, which includes over 130 programs for the United States Air Force (USAF) and foreign allies. AFLCMC/PEO Electronic Systems Directorate is headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA with geographically separated operating units CONUS and OCONUS.
This is a full time position at Hanscom AFB, MA.
In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Conduct reviews and analysis of system architectures, engineering plans, test results, and subsystem performance to ensure compliance with approved specifications and requirements.
Evaluate system-level designs and test data to validate subsystem and system performance.
Support the preparation and presentation of technical documents, system specifications, trade studies, and management reports.
Develop and validate criteria and procedures to assess engineering systems, and analyze outcomes to recommend improvements or corrective actions.
Review and assess Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), Technology Development Strategies, and military utility assessments for alignment with user needs.
Translate operational/user requirements into functional, allocated, and product-level requirements within the system baseline.
Assist in the development of systems engineering documentation including:
Systems Engineering Plans (SEP)
Risk Management Plans
Initial Capabilities Documents (ICDs)
Capability Development Documents (CDDs)
Capability Production Documents (CPDs)
Technology Standards Profiles
Analysis of Alternatives (AoA)
FCA/PCA support
Provide input on configuration management, technical data packages, and sustainment planning.
Support all acquisition lifecycle phases: material solution analysis, technology maturation, engineering and manufacturing development, production and deployment, and operations and support.
Apply systems engineering principles including:
Requirements definition and analysis
Architecture design, implementation, integration, verification, validation, and transition
Technical planning, assessment, decision analysis, and risk management
Configuration management, interface management, and technical data management
Assist in the planning and execution of formal technical reviews and assessments (e.g., System Requirements Reviews, Technology Readiness Assessments).
Conduct system trade studies focused on performance, cost-effectiveness, risk, schedule, and life cycle cost.
Provide technical recommendation support through studies, audits, evaluations, and data-driven analysis.
Deliver proposal analysis support by evaluating system/component compatibility, technical feasibility, and cost-effectiveness.
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have an Active Secret Clearance
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in a professional engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited educational program and at least 7 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD
Experience with system and architecture development, modeling & simulation, and MBSE principles
Demonstrated ability in verification & validation, configuration management, and technical data package development and sustainment
Understanding of embedded systems, network architectures, cloud deployment, and system virtualization
Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes including TMRR, EMD, Production, and Deployment
Knowledge of Electronic Warfare and/or Air Combat operations, including aircrew training, TTP development, and range infrastructure
