Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity providing Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) supporting the US Space Force mission to defend National Security Interests in Space as a Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Systems Acquisition Contracting Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting the Contracting team in the Battlespace Awareness Acquisition Delta (SSC/SZB).

The Battlespace Awareness Acquisition Delta executes system acquisition, modernization, and sustainment for ground- and space-based SDA sensors and command and control (C2) systems. Activities include acquisition program management, system and subsystem engineering, maintenance and supply support, and fielding.
Odyssey Systems provides support to the Government in seven areas: Data Acquisitions, Product Testing, Product Support, Sustainment Management, User Interface Design, Engineering, and Integration. These tasks are executed laterally with USSF SSC, development contractors and with SDA stakeholders.
This is a full-time position at 2424 Garden of the Gods Road in Colorado Springs with the opportunity for 3-4 days per week of telework at the discretion of the Government.
An A&AS contractor is a knowledgeable and trusted advisor to the Government. As an SDA Systems Acquisition Contracting SME, you will work closely with the Government Supervisory Contracting Officer and provide A&AS support across a wide range of Contracting tasks. You will apply superior critical thinking skills and diverse experience to support all aspects of contracting during the acquisition process for complex systems and technologies. The work includes analyzing and documenting requirements, recommending and developing acquisition strategies and developing documentation in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and US Space Force Space Systems Command acquisition policy, coordinating and conducting acquisition reviews, and advising the Government on all aspects of the contracting process acquisition. The work requires knowledge of Other Transaction Authority (OTA), Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR), FAR Part 15, and FAR PART 16 acquisition principles, policies, procedures, reform initiatives, and regulatory requirements. Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Minimum Qualifications:
Clearance: Active Secret clearance, eligible to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance
Certifications: DAU, APDP or DAWIA Contracting Level II Certification or equivalent
Education: BA/BS degree
Years of Experience: 12 years of directly relevant experience with proper certifications, 8 of which must be in contracting activities supporting DoD, MDA, or IC Acquisition Organizations with Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP), Acquisition Category (ACAT) 1, and ACAT 2 programs.
