Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity providing Advisory and Assistance Services supporting the US Space Force and its mission to Protect and Defend National Security Interests in Space as a member of the Space Warfighting Analysis Center's Force Design Integration Office (FDIO) team. As the SWAC FDIO Staff Integration Management Specialist, you will provide on-site support to FDIO leadership and staff to optimize day-to-day operations of the FDIO and drive integration within the Space Warfighting Analysis Center. This is a full-time position at the Aerospace facility at 7250 Getting Heights, Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities

An A&AS contractor is a knowledgeable and trusted advisor to the Government. As the SWAC FDIO Staff Integration Management Specialist, you will advise the Director, FDIO to optimize day-to-day operations. You will apply significant influence within SWAC Programs; provide expert, comprehensive knowledge of FDIO responsibilities, priorities, and projects; develop and evangelize daily business practices; and help manage, guide and direct the Director’s staff to maximize its effectiveness. Duties include, but are not limited to:  

  • Analyze incoming taskings/requests for information with a critical mindset to determine the appropriate product and information required for response
  • Manage and track action items using Task Management Tool (TMT) and other applicable software and database tools (e.g. Excel, Project)
  • Facilitate the setup, execution, and participate in Force Design reviews to support/defend Force Design recommendations
  • Ensure the Director is thoroughly prepared for each event on their schedule, to include scheduling preparation time, providing read-ahead materials, biographies of participants, subject matter experts, and arranging advanced meetings, as required
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the Programs, Space, IC, and stakeholder communities and understand their organizational goals/objectives, parochial views and their impact to SWAC
  • Manage FDIO Director’s and Deputy Director’s dynamic daily calendar, interfacing with senior officers/executives from multiple military commands and intelligence agencies, and facilitating communication between SWAC senior executives and staff
  • Schedule meetings/events to maximize the Director and Deputy Director’s time. Identify meeting participants, subject matter experts (SMEs) and required materials to thoroughly address the issue, produce solutions, direct further study, or re-vector the effort
  • Perform broad office duties such as ordering supplies; receiving, sorting and distributing incoming correspondence; answering phone calls; setting up VTCs, receiving/escorting visitors; writing meeting minutes; making copies; and managing records management  
  • Assist security personnel with security clearance verification, building access, data transfers, processing visit requests, etc., as required
  • Infrequent travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations at the request of the Government
  • Other duties as required/requested by the Government within the constraints of the S3 contract

 

Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

 

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Clearance:  Active Top Secret/SCI clearance, agreeable to polygraph

Education:  Bachelor's degree

Years of Experience:  5 years of experience in a Director’s Action Group or similar role supporting Senior Executives in classified environments

Other Qualifications:

  • Exceptional professionalism and strong experience exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills via phone, email and in-person
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and build effective relationships and teams with government customers, FFRDCs, and contractors, working in a highly dynamic environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional writing skills and ability to effectively communicate with senior government leaders
  • Proficient with security processes/procedures (e.g., document marking/handling, generating and transmitting classified visit requests) in TS/SCI and SAP environments
  • Capable of opening/closing FDIO office spaces
  • Strong experience with office management procedures, equipment and information management systems such as on-line calendars, Task Management Tool (TMT), security clearance visit request information systems, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (ie, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Experience with working in special access program and special access required environments 

Preferred Qualifications:

Clearance:  Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph

Education:  Bachelor’s degree

Other Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as an A&AS contractor in a DoD, MDA, or IC Acquisition organization

Location:  Work is performed at the Aerospace Facility, 7250 Getting Heights, Colorado Springs, CO

Travel: Up to 10% to CONUS and OCONUS locations upon Government direction
