Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for Systems Administrator Journeyman providing support for standalone IT systems supporting the Helicopter Program Office (HPO) at Wright Patterson AFB, OH.  The HPO supports selected helicopter programs including the HH-60W Combat Rescue Helicopter (CRH) and the MH-139.  The HPO has a mission to rapidly deliver and field new and updated rotary wing aircraft.

 

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to: 

  • Identify computer problems and determine how to solve them
  • Train users on how the use of new hardware or software
  • Conduct testing and evaluate the organization’s standalone computer systems
  • Troubleshoot standalone computer problems and individual user hardware or software problems with standalone computer equipment
  • Set up or repair standalone computer hardware/software and other associated devices
  • Act as the system administrator of the HPO standalone laptops and associated devices

 

 

Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Secret

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related field and at least three years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, three of which must be in the DoD

 

OR, Seven years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, five of which must be in the DoD.

 

  • Experience requirements: 5 years computer hardware support, 5 years Microsoft Windows Desktop or Server experience

Certifications: 

 

CompTIA A+

CompTIA Security+
