Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a T&E Engineer, SME at Redstone Arsenal, in Huntsville, Alabama. This effort supports the Strategic Integrated Kinetic Effects (STRIKE) Project Office (PO), which has been tasked to field the Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) and Mid-Range Capability (MRC) Army weapon systems.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide Test and Evaluation (T&E) support to both the Launcher and Munitions Test Teams of the STRIKE PO.
Support of hardware and software development tests, systems integration and interoperability tests, performance analysis, live fire and field test.
Develop test plans, procedures and reports of the above test events. This will include support for the STRIKE launcher and munitions programs, Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers, the STRIKE user community, other Government agencies, and depot facilities.
Provide support for the development, staffing, coordination and approval of the Master Test Strategies (MTS) and/or Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) for the STRIKE programs and receive TEMP input from various stakeholders, and support the development of a TEMP compliant with DoD and Army regulations.
Attend and support preparation, conduct, and completion of T&E Integrated Product Teams (IPT), technical meetings, and working groups.
Participate in T&E IPT for the purpose of presenting TEMP update status, presenting test planning details, and capturing related action items.
Track action items generated from meetings and working groups.
Develop and execute test plans. This shall include management of the test event, collection and reduction of data, system performance evaluation, root cause failure analyses, and publication of test reports for the Systems Integration Tests and Operational Testing of the specified GSE and munitions system.
Utilize existing instrumentation tools to support system level design analyses, identify interoperability issues, and to evaluate/analyze subsystems and algorithm performance throughout the integration and test program.
Provide data management and system analysis support during operational testing.
Reduce data, conduct failure analyses and report findings to the operational test data manager and Data Validation Teams (DVT).
Coordinate data analysis results with the RAM data manager to support resolution of any launcher anomalies during the conduct of the test.
Provide, maintain, and validate software analysis tools developed specifically to translate data collected. The functionality of these software tools must be capable of supporting current and future system architectures.
Coordinate with the T&E Working-level IPT (WIPT) and obtain certification for the instrumentation and software packages.
Ensure that both the hardware and software are at the desired level by performing a testability analysis. The analysis tools must be capable of producing Level 3 Evaluator Data Sets derived from Army Evaluation and Test Command (ATEC) Pattern of Analysis / Data Element Dictionary, as well as discreet item level data necessary to isolate and identify hardware or software anomalies.
Assist in the IPT process to support resolution of software interoperability problems, make recommendations regarding reasonableness of the hardware and software design modifications, recommend design changes that will improve system integration and interoperability performance, while continuously monitoring the system development and maturity.
Perform technical and performance risk analysis for STRIKE PO in the area of GSE and munitions computer software, hardware and integration to assess system operational test readiness.
Perform all information management functions including the archive of all data collected and analyzed during these programs.
Complete testing of all LRHW and MRC Weapon Simulator (MWS) hardware and software.
Verify that the fidelity of the simulations is adequate to support both the integration test and program goals.
Coordinate with the STRIKE PO technical representative all performance issues and recommended solutions.
Obtain an approved accreditation for test events as directed by the STRIKE PO.
Review test plans for conformance with Military Standards, Test Operating Procedures (TOPs), purchase specifications, Army Regulations, requirements documents, and other Army and DoD guidance.
Assist in test scheduling and test range coordination to include the development of a master test schedule updated weekly, and shall attend test events.
Provide expertise in test data analysis and review of test reports and provide written reports with findings and discrepancies.
Prepare reports and briefings of testing status and results.
Assist in the development or review of test plans, procedures, data analysis and test reports for all Government Qualification testing.
Assist in failure review boards (FRBs) as required.
Prepare reports and briefings of Government Qualification testing status and results.

Education: BS/BA or MA/MS Degree
Years of Experience: over 20 years of related experience and recognized as an industry leader
