Odyssey is looking for a Part-Time Clinical Research Grants Manager to support researchers in the performance of moderately complex research and experimentation for the Clinical Investigations Department (CID) , Directorate for Professional Education at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) and 14 additional DHA mandated sites.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Design grant programs.
• Determine funding needs.
• Research funding opportunities and develop and respond to grant applications.
• Write, review, submit, and manage grant proposals
• Furnish prospective funders with supporting documents.
• Develop grant reports.
• Coordinate, educate, and engage with grant writers.
• Identify grant support agencies.
• Optimize the grant administration process.
• Manage timelines and deliverables.
• Prepare and monitor budgets.
• Track grant applications.
• Oversee portfolio of multiple grant submissions.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

         Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Clearance: None 

Education: Graduate degree is required. A focus in business administration or equivalent is preferred.

Years of Experience: 2+ years of grant writing experience.

Skills: 

• Methodical and strategic thinking.
• Project management skills
• Budgeting and accounting experience.
• Computer literacy.
• Knowledge of auditing policies.
• Strong writing skills.
• History of successful grant applications.
• Proficient with measuring and reaching income goals.
• Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
