Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Configuration/Data Manager, supporting the Fixed Wing Branch HC/MC-130 Recapitalization Program. This is an ACAT IC program designed to replace the aging fleet of Air Combat Command (ACC) HC-130P/N aircraft and Air Force (AF) Special Operations Command (AFSOC) MC-130E/H/P.

 

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to: 

 

  • Use Multi-User Engineering Change Proposal Automated Review System (MEARS), Joint Deficiency Reporting System (JDRS), Acquisition Streamlining and Standardization Information System (ASSIST), Enhanced Technical Information Management System (ETIMS), Joint Engineering Data Management Information and Control System (JEDMICS), Joint Electronics Type Designation Automated System (JETDAS), and Air Force and SOF portals (to prepare spreadsheets, briefings, figures, graphics, tables, forms, and papers, providing finished products in technical and non-technical both classified and unclassified, in the media and format requested.
  • Provide support performing configuration and data management tasks related to the development, production and support of various weapon systems and items of equipment acquired by SOF. Tasks that require contractor support include the full range of Configuration Management (CM), Data Management (DM) and Engineering Data Management (EDM) to include data rights, Deficiency Reporting (DR) and Scientific and Technical Information (STINFO) actions required to accomplish specifically assigned work for individual task orders.
  • Interface and assist in coordinating activities with Division and higher-level management, CM/DM Chief, IPT Leaders, the various project officers, other outside program offices, various IPT members and Defense Contract Management Agency.
  • Assist in processing nomenclature and Computer Program Identification Number (CPIN) requests, and by tracking the requests through the appropriate Government agencies for response back to the customer.
  • Assist in supporting the configuration control function. Provide support including, but not limited to, receipt, dissemination, processing, tracking and final disposition of Advanced Change Study Notices (ACSNs), ECPs, CCPs, requests for deviation/variance/waiver, DRs, airworthiness alerts, airworthiness directive notes, and service actions notices of deficiency. Provide advisory assistance support by reviewing change proposals for thoroughness, configuration and data management impacts, and compliance with Government requirements. Make appropriate recommendations for Government review and disposition.
  • Assist in performing the duties of the CCB Secretariat. Provide advisory assistance and draft documentation support for the preparation and facilitation of CCBs. Provide support for the development of reports and charts for these efforts/activities. Assist by reviewing the weapon system contractor’s engineering release system, software development library, and software configuration management practices. Communicate and identify potential risks, concerns, and areas of need to the Government for consideration.
  • Provide support for the conduct of Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs), Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs), and compliance audits. Contractor advisory and draft documentation support shall include audit planning, auditing hardware and software Configuration Items (CI/CSCIs), and generating, dispositioning, and tracking Review Item Discrepancies (RIDs), and tracking action items and minutes.
  • Assist in reviewing the weapon system contractor’s status accounting system to ensure accuracy and adequacy of data reported and shall ensure achievement of required system configuration and that the configuration meets system operational needs. Assist in maintaining status accounting records and data bases pertaining to identification documents, such as specifications, parts lists, version description documents, SCNs, and change control documents including but not limited to ACSNs, ECPs, CCPs, and Request for Deviation (RFD)/Request for Waiver (RFW) variances.
  • Provide support to receive, log, track, and maintain current status of contract data deliverables. Assist with maintaining electronic and manual data management files and shall provide associated historical information. Identify and communicate potential risks, concerns, and areas of need to the Government for consideration.
  • Provide engineering data management support, to include preparing draft documentation and maintaining the Engineering Data Management Plan (EDMP).
  • Provide support for the management of the deficiency report process for assigned programs.
  • Attend, initiate, and support meetings and conferences with the organization, user and supporting commands, and weapon system contractor representatives to resolve problems regarding configuration, data engineering, data management and deficiency reporting requirements.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

ClearanceActive Secret Clearance 

Education/Experience: 

  • Twenty years of Configuration Data Management experience, OR
  • Bachelor's degree and fifteen (15) years of related experience, OR
  • Master's degree and twelve (12) years of related experience

Please note: Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
