Position Summary

Odyssey Systems is currently seeking an experienced WHPE IMAS Product Management Support (Computer or Software Engineering)  to provide support to the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Development Activity (USAMMDA) Warfighter Health, Performance and Evacuation (WHPE) Product Management Organization (PMO), a subordinate command under United States Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC). This position is based in Ft. Detrick, Maryland.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Provide product management support to various WHPE PMO development efforts for the interoperable Medical Automated Systems (iMAS)
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to include scheduling meetings and preparing agendas, related documentation, and minutes
  • Draft and revise DoD acquisition documents including the Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP) and Simplified Acquisition Management Plan (SAMP) to ensure they accurately reflect the most up to date program information
  • Create and manage engineering workflows and design brief to support the development and integration of iMAS
  • Analyze and track contractor schedule, cost, and performance on behalf of the customer to ensure contract performers are on time, within budget, and delivering at the highest level
  • Plan for, train for, and set-up programmatic events, showcases, and demonstrations in support of DoD acquisition requirement and user input need for the further design and development of the iMAS system
  • Provide support to contracts to include to deliverable verification, risk management, and milestone reviews
  • Correspond with industry and academic partners for collaborations of DoD development efforts in operational medicine, deployed healthcare, and prolonged field care
  • Successfully communicate with personnel at various echelons using effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Support numerous efforts and effectively prioritize and multi-task requirements that have a direct impact on the product portfolio
  • Support all major initiatives to advance product development and associated activities
  • Assist with programmatic and technical document review, market research, and vendor site visits/demonstrations
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology and industry developments
  • Participates in special projects as required

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:

 

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust level clearance

Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering

Years’ experience: 

 

  • 10+ years of related experience
  • 1 + years’ experience in sensor integration or software programming
  • Experience with the integration of medical devices and software applications
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills required

Location: Onsite in Frederick, MD (local candidates only); Telework eligible
