Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Logistics/Systems Engineering to support to provide the government program manager. The Systems Engineer (SE) Processor will lead the development, implementation, and management of best practices in enterprise systems engineering processes. The Systems Engineer Processor will primarily support one or two programs within the portfolio. Develop key artifacts to develop and implement include, but are not limited to: Systems Engineering Plan, Requirements Management Plan, Configuration Management Plan, Architecture Diagrams, Interface Specifications, life Cycle Management Plan, Test and Evaluation Management Plan. The SE Processor is expected to be the technical focal point for each program they support. Each SE processor must understand program requirements, the design and architecture of the system, assist in system testing and produce relevant technical documentation for the program. The SE Processor must have excellent communications skills, both written and oral, be able to analyze problems and recommend solutions, and be able to work with minimal Government supervision. This SE Processor will interact frequently with other requirements analysts, systems engineers, testers, and Program Managers of project teams.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Possess excellent communications skills, both written and oral, be able to analyze problems and recommend solutions, and be able to work with minimal Government supervision
  • Ability to interact frequently with other requirements analysts, systems engineers, testers, and Program Managers of project teams

 

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:

 

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

ClearanceTop Secret (with a current investigation within the past 5 years) or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation; must be SCI/SAP/SAR eligible

Education: BA/BS Degree in Engineering or related Technical Fields: Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering

Years’ experience: 5-10 years of experience

  • Information Technology Acquisition and/or Cyber operations experience required

  • Knowledge of agile acquisition
  • Software development experience; to include waterfall and agile software development
  • Experience with secure programming techniques and secure system design
  • SAR/SAP experience desired
  • Familiarity with SE & Requirements Management Process, CMMI, and Air Force SEAM
  • Possess the ability to understand various levels of abstraction (high-level to detailed; generic to specific)
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition process from either Government or prime development contractor experience is highly desired
  • Understanding of current IT system design and deployment, design of scalable computing and network architectures
  • Experience with public and private cloud-computing technologies
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge on best practices of the requirements process and the entire product life-cycle
  • Demonstrated experience using all MS Office products, including MS Project and Vision
  • Demonstrated ability to work multiple project efforts and interface with multiple contractors at various levels
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel and Word required

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: MA/MS Degree in Engineering or related Technical Fields: Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering

 

 

Interpersonal Skills: 

  • Working knowledge of the military structure and system acquisition
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

 

Additional Information:

 

Location: Onsite at Hanscom AFB with minimal remote flexibility

Travel: Frequent travel (within CONUS) up to 5-10 days per month
