Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Data Scientist with experience in the DoD Information Technology (DoD IT) environment, supporting the Navy at Pax River, MD. 

**Availability of Position is contingent upon contract award**

Duties include, but not limited to:

Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data- oriented programming languages and visualization software. Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets. Visualize, interpret, and report data findings. May create dynamic data reports.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Education: BS or BA degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Management or related dis An Associate’s Degree plus 4 years’ of additional experience or a High School diploma or GE and 6 years’ of additional experience performing work related to the labor category functional description may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.

Years’ experience: More than ten (10) years experience performing work related to data science and development.

Preferred Qualifications:

Clearance: Active Secret Clearance

Experience: **NAVAIR experience preferred**
