Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Database Administrator with experience in the DoD Information Technology (DoD IT) environment, supporting the Navy at Pax River, MD.
**Availability of Position is contingent upon contract award**
Duties include, but not limited to:
Administer, test, and implement computer databases, applying knowledge of database management systems. Coordinate changes to computer databases. Identify, investigate, and resolve database performance issues, database capacity, and database scalability. May plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Education: BS or BA degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Management or related dis An Associate’s Degree plus 4 years’ of additional experience or a High School diploma or GE and 6 years’ of additional experience performing work related to the labor category functional description may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
Years’ experience: More than ten (10) years experience performing work related to computer database administration.
Certifications: CompTIA Security+ CE certification. Operating system training certification relevant to the primary operating system the position is supporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
Experience: **NAVAIR experience preferred**
