Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Network & Computer Systems Administrator with experience in the DoD Information Technology (DoD IT) environment, supporting the Navy at Pax River, MD.
**Availability of Position is contingent upon contract award**
Duties include, but not limited to:
Install, configure, and maintain an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers. Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems. Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups. Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses. May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Education: BS or BA degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Management or related dis An Associate’s Degree plus 4 years’ of additional experience or a High School diploma or GE and 6 years’ of additional experience performing work related to the labor category functional description may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
Years’ experience: More than ten (10) years experience performing work related to network and computer system administration.
Certifications: CompTIA Security+ CE certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
Experience: **NAVAIR experience preferred**
