Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Computer Software/Systems Engineer with experience in the DoD Information Technology (DoD IT) environment, supporting the Navy at Pax River, MD.
**Availability of Position is contingent upon contract award**
Duties include, but not limited to:
Provides technical leadership and high-level subject matter expertise, analysis, and strategic advice to support project execution, business and technical operations and strategic initiatives or as required to support identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing complex technical solutions and to employ software engineering methods and tools in the development of innovative system solutions. Provides advanced technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and multiple operational environments, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, training, and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems that require expert level knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Education: BS or BA degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Management or related dis An Associate’s Degree plus 4 years of additional experience or a High School diploma or GE and 6 years’ of additional experience performing work related to the labor category functional description may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
Years’ experience: More than ten (10) years experience performing work related to computer software and systems engineering. A minimum of eight (8) years of the required ten (10) should be within the DoD IT environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
Experience: **NAVAIR experience preferred**
