Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Software Developer with experience in the DoD Information Technology (DoD IT) environment, supporting the Navy at Pax River, MD.
**Availability of Position is contingent upon contract award**
Duties include, but not limited to:
Research, design, and develop, computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, and develop specifications and performance requirements. May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Education: BS or BA degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Management or related disapline. An Associate’s Degree plus 4 years’ of additional experience or a High School diploma or GE and 6 years’ of additional experience performing work related to the labor category functional description may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
Years’ experience: More than ten (10) years experience performing work related to software development.
Preferred Qualifications:
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
Experience: **NAVAIR experience preferred**
