Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Program Manager with experience in the DoD Information Technology (DoD IT) environment, supporting the Navy at Pax River, MD.

 

**Availability of Position is contingent upon contract award**

 

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

Acts as the overall lead, manager and administrator for the contracted effort. Serves as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities on technical and program/project issues. Oversees contractor execution of the contract requirements. Manages acquisition and employment of program/project resources.

  • Ensure adequate program controls and repeatable processes are applied to each task area including scheduling, resource allocation, direction, cost quality control, report preparation, establishing and maintaining records and resolution of all issues
  • Resolve quality, timeliness and accuracy issues
  • Review CDRLs for quality before submission to the Government
  • Ensure consistent on-board and off-board processing of personnel
  • Ensure standard communication and processes for each supported organization
  • Coordinate with each project manager to ensure all projects are within cost, performance, and schedule
  • Coordinate effective utilization of resources across projects
  • Manage project risks and dependencies with the SOW and within each supported organization
  • Consult with project managers and Government management on IT strategies and IT software life cycle standards
  • Manage long term improvements and efficiencies within the task order
  • Attend status updates with COR/ACOR, TPOC/ATPOC, providing updates on position vacancies, project schedules, issues, and project risks.
  • Attend meetings as required with the COR/ACOR or TPOC/ATPOC to discuss performance under the award or resolution of any performance issues or challenges

 

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Education: BS or BA degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Management or related discipline An Associate’s Degree plus 4 years’ of additional experience or a High School diploma or GE and 6 years’ of additional experience performing work related to the labor category functional description may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree

Years’ experience: More than ten (10) years experience performing work related to program management, five (5) years of the required ten (10) years of experience must be within the DoD IT Environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Clearance: Active Secret Clearance

Experience: **NAVAIR experience preferred**

Travel: 10%

Please note: Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
