Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for an SDA Systems Product Lifecycle Manager supporting the Space Domain Awareness Division of the US Space Force, Space Systems Command Special Programs Directorate. This is a full-time role at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, CO.

The Space Domain Awareness Division (USSF SSC/ECZG) executes system acquisition, modernization, and sustainment for ground- and space-based Space Domain Awareness (SDA) sensors and command and control (C2) systems. Activities include acquisition program management, system and subsystem engineering, maintenance and supply support, and fielding.

Odyssey Systems provides support to the Government in five areas: Product Support, Sustainment Engineering & Sustainment Management, Technical Order Management, Technical User Interface, and System Design, Engineering and Integration.  These tasks are executed laterally with USSF SSC/ECZG depot and development contractors and with SDA stakeholders.


Duties include, but not limited to: 


The SDA Systems Product Lifecycle Manager is a Configuration and Data Support Specialist who applies their knowledge of system design considerations to ensure that all system design changes are tracked throughout the development and modification process, ensuring that a suitable strategy is developed and executed to ensure the technical baseline of requirements, design, manufacturing, and test documentation is available and accurate throughout all phases of the lifecycle of multiple fielded SDA systems.

The SDA Systems Product Lifecycle Manager will implement, configure, administer, and support a production ARAS Innovator Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environment to meet the requirements and ensure mission success of multiple fielded SDA systems.  Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Support technical installation, configuration, and administration of test PLM environments required to test and validate integrated ARAS PLM solutions
  • Provide training and coaching to ARAS end-users across multiple development, sustainment, and modernization teams (engineering, logistics, training, field service, operations)
  • Share knowledge and experience of PLM standards and industry best practices
  • Devise, support, and evangelize standards, processes, and procedures to effectively generate and maintain configuration control of technical baseline data using the ARAS Innovator PLM
  • Develop and customize data models and process workflows as required to support the effective and efficient management of technical baseline data
  • Support transition during migration from an on-premise implementation of ARAS Innovator to a cloud-based instantiation; ensure high fidelity data export/import processes maintain the integrity of the technical data
  • Travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations upon government direction
  • Other duties as required/requested by the Government and within scope of the S3 contract


  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Required Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Required Education: B.S. in Engineering or a related discipline
  • 5 or more years of experience as an ARAS PLM administrator or advanced user of an ARAS PLM instantiation; additional experience with other PLM solutions (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill, Agile) is a plus
  • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) best practices as applied in the engineering and manufacturing industries
  • Ability to convey professional image and deal confidently with complex technical issues; ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse base of end-users
  • Hands-on experience writing and modifying JavaScript, C#, HTML, SQL and XML; experience with Visual Studio 2017
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with relational databases, including architecture development
  • Hands-on experience installing, re-hosting, managing vaults, generating data queries, managing bills of material (BOMs)
  • Hands-on experience automating PLM activities including bulk data loads and user management tasks
  • Strong critical thinking, analysis, and design skills; ability to devise creative technical solutions; strong trouble shooting skills
  • Experience developing and delivering technical presentations and training


Additional Information:

This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO.  Work is performed at Peterson Air Force Base with minimal travel.

Please note: Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
